AutocueMe ("we", "us", or "our") is operated by The Barber Shop. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and share information when you use our teleprompter service at autocueme.com. By using AutocueMe, you agree to the practices described here.

1. Information We Collect

We collect the following categories of information:

• Account information: Your name and email address, provided when you create an account or sign in with Google.
• Payment information: Billing details processed securely by Stripe. We do not store your card numbers on our servers.
• Usage data: Information about how you interact with the service, including features used, session duration, and subscription tier.
• Script content: Text you enter into the teleprompter or generate using our AI tools. This content is processed to deliver the service and is not used to train AI models.
• Device and technical data: Browser type, operating system, IP address, and similar technical identifiers collected automatically via Firebase.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide, operate, and improve AutocueMe
• Process payments and manage your subscription
• Send essential service communications (e.g. billing receipts, security alerts)
• Respond to support requests sent to letstalk@wearetbs.com
• Detect and prevent fraud, abuse, or security incidents
• Comply with legal obligations

We do not sell your personal data to third parties. We do not use your data for advertising purposes.

3. Third-Party Services

AutocueMe relies on the following third-party providers. Each has its own privacy policy governing how they handle data:

• Google Firebase — authentication, database, and hosting (Firebase Privacy Policy)
• Stripe — payment processing (Stripe Privacy Policy)
• Anthropic — AI script generation via the Claude API (Anthropic Privacy Policy)

4. Cookies and Local Storage

We use browser local storage and cookies to keep you signed in and remember your preferences (such as font size and scroll speed). These are strictly necessary for the service to function and are not used for advertising or tracking purposes.

5. Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal information within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal or financial compliance purposes (e.g. Stripe transaction records, which are retained for 7 years).

6. Your Rights

Depending on where you are located, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:

• Access: Request a copy of the data we hold about you
• Correction: Ask us to correct inaccurate information
• Deletion: Request that we delete your account and associated data
• Portability: Receive your data in a machine-readable format
• Objection: Object to certain types of processing

7. Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures including HTTPS encryption, Firebase security rules, and server-side access controls to protect your data. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Children's Privacy

AutocueMe is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will promptly delete it.

9. International Transfers

Your data may be processed in countries outside your own, including the United States, where our third-party providers (Google, Stripe, Anthropic) operate their infrastructure. By using AutocueMe, you consent to this transfer. We ensure appropriate safeguards are in place in accordance with applicable data protection law.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of AutocueMe after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
